Good day, bad day

So, today was really good regarding the none smoking. I was back to work today so it was a lot easier.
Good day bad day? Well, good day not smoking, bad day, back to work.
22:30 tonight and its a week since we last smoked, splendid. I'm particularly proud of Sam, as she's at home all day it must be so much harder for her, but she's doing just great.
Just finished watching the first half of the football, Everton V Manchester City, dull as dishwater, although having said that a fan did run on and handcuff himself to the goalposts, what a guy! It was the highlight of the first half, 0-0 and from what I've seen they was both lucky to get 0.
Right, back to the sofa for the second half.

Nearly but not quite

So today has been tough, well, this morning was. Nearly gave in, its funny how you try to justify giving in to giving up, we'll put on weight, we cant sleep, what about if we just cut down, that's still called smoking isn't it?
Would be silly to start again, it will be a week Tuesday night, I mean, we still could go back to it but the further in we get the easier it will become. At the moment the need for a smoke lasts tens of minutes, but as time goes by the need to smoke will diminish, so the craving will last for a second or two.
Took a stroll into town mid morning, just to get out and take our minds off smoking again. It seemed to work, popped into a local chemist to ask advice about if giving up smoking can interfere with your sleep, turns out it can. The advice we got was to take one of the nicotine lozenge's before bed, we shall see tonight.
Up early in the morning, back to work, deep joy!

Non smoking and Geocaching, all at the same time, is that called multi-tasking?

Ok, been on this blogging site for ages but up till now have blogged absolutely nothing.
Gave up smoking last Tuesday, 24th January 2012. Been tough, but not quite as tough as I thought it would. There are times of the day when you could just give up giving up, and then there are other times when it's just a breeze, don't give it a second thought.
Me, my wife and daughter went out for a nice long walk today, oh, we took the dog along, not that she would ever enjoy a good run, yeah right. We went out Geocaching and managed to find one of the two we went for. If you don't know what Geocaching is its like Treasure hunting, you get the coordinates of the cache from the website, Geocaching.com and off you go. Some of the caches have stuff in, others are to small to contain anything other than the logbook, they all have a logbook in them for you to sign and date when you discover them.
The good thing about it, along with the fact that its good fun, is the fact that its healthy. It gets us out the house when otherwise we may sit and think about smoking.
Looking towards February payday as me and Sam are going to split the money we would have spent on tobacco and treat ourselves to something we want.
Ive just noticed whilst typing this that I can add photos and video, so I'll make the most of that facility next time we go out caching, probably next weekend.
I'll try to add stuff as and when i think of it, some exciting, other stuff, dull and mundain :-)
